Repairs we make every week
- Settlement and stress cracks in plaster, cut out and taped so they do not come straight back
- Nail pops, screw pops and seams that have opened up
- Water damage from a roof, an HVAC line, a sweating duct or an upstairs bathroom, once the leak itself is fixed
- Ceiling patches, including holes left by lighting and duct work
- Skim coating a whole wall or ceiling that is too far gone for spot repair
- Texture matching — orange peel, knockdown, the light spray on most Upstate ceilings, or the swirl a previous owner liked

Wallpaper removal
Steamed, scored where it has to be, and stripped back to the substrate. The glue then gets washed off, because paint over old adhesive bubbles and it will happen in front of you. If a previous owner hung paper straight onto unprimed drywall, removal can take the face paper with it — we skim and prime it back to a paintable wall rather than leaving you with a patchwork.
Light carpentry
Small carpentry that comes with paint work: rotted trim, rake board, fascia and window sills replaced; loose casing and base re-secured; shoe molding and quarter round added; a soffit panel put back. If it is structural or it needs a permit, we will tell you and point you at the right trade.

Can you match my ceiling texture?
Usually, yes. We test a sample area first so you can look at it before we commit to the whole ceiling.
Do I need a drywall contractor and a painter?
Not for repair work. We do the repair and the finish, which means nobody is blaming anybody else for how the wall looks under the light.
The crack came back last time. Why?
Because it was filled rather than repaired. A moving crack needs to be cut out, taped with the right tape and feathered wide, or the movement just splits the filler again.
